Mechanix Carnival turns a child’s love for fairground rides into a hands-on engineering project. Instead of just playing with a ride, children build one from scratch and understand how it works.

With 202 pieces of high-quality steel, children aged 8+ follow the step-by-step manual, connect strips, plates, and brackets with nuts and bolts, and fit axles and the crank handle to create rides that actually move. Each model shows a simple mechanical idea in action, from rotation around an axle to balance and swinging motion.

Once the 7 models are done, the learning doesn’t stop. The same parts can be used to design new rides, structures, and inventions, which encourages creativity and independent problem-solving long after the manual is finished.

With its pink-and-silver styling and carry case, Carnival is a popular first STEM kit for girls and boys alike, and a thoughtful gift for any child who loves to tinker.
